This is what I said a long time I ago…. So little people with vision………. Remember, Garmin did actually have an Android phone back in the day. Project was shelved as nobody bought it. Also, keep in mind that Microsoft acquired the Nokia phone brand back a few years ago for billions. Biggest waste of money ever. Would be interesting to see if their calculation models are close to real life. I use Best Bike Split and have done for a while. I generally plan a route with it for events, and use it for pacing. Can the Wahoo head unit be used with the usual Garmin quarter turn mounts? Both my bikes alp aero bars with integrated Garmin mounts. Technically no. Officially no. But it kinda works. Love the Bolt but came across a sensor issue today. At start of ride I had connected to my own sensor but after the ride started I noticed I was picking up her cadence. After gps fitness watch cycling got home I switched everything off and back on again and all was good, but this was with her sensor deleted.
So, although I like the ability to jump from bike to bike, there is an advantage of having bike profiles. Looking to upgrade my Garmin and really like the general functionality of the Wahoo unit. Unfortunately, the lack of Live Tracking features is a deal breaker. Wonder if the Garmin is coming this Summer? The existing live tracking services are all very closed. If Wahoo reads this.
